Hi everybody
I thought I’d use today’s post to formally announce the release of The Book of Rubbish Ideas. It will start hitting the shelves today and you should start to hear more about it in the press. You can also now purchase it online here.
Thank you to everybody for showing so much support, both on and off the blog, and as a small way of showing our appreciation I have posted another set of sample pages for you to look at. I’ve selected the brilliant chapter on things to do in the Study to reduce electric, paper and other household rubbish.

In the meantime Tracey will continue to make this blog as interesting, informative and inspiration as possible. There’s still a lot more to come so bookmark the RSS feed, pop back daily and please share your comments and ideas with us.
Cheers
Thomas
Congratulations! There must be huge celebrations going on in your part of the world today.
I bet you are really pleased and I so know this book is going to be H-U-G-E!
Hi Mrs Green!
Thanks for your note and I’ve not been around much this past couple of days….I have interviews coming out of my ears (that’s not a complaint!!!)….and everything is rolling along well.
We had a 1/2 page spread in the Daily Mirror yesterday and I believe there’s a full pager in the national press in the next couple of days….
I’m on the BBC radio up and down the country (from the comfort of my local station in Somerset - thanks guys) and there’s a queue of magazine stuff to answer in my inbox….!
It seems my rubbishy little read has ticked the right boxes and it might be just what’s needed to help people live a more sustainable life that will save them money in the process.
I HAD to go into my local Waterstones today and saw a pile of ‘TBORI’s’ on the table with other new releases….there was something completely surreal about that moment and I don’t think I’ll ever forget it.
Thank you to everyone who’s helping to spread the word about the book and from every single book that’s sold, I’m making a personal donation to NACOA, (The National Association for Children of Alcoholics, see http://www.NACOA.org.uk for details). They are a truly amazing charity and your purchases will help them take care of the young and old COA’s that call their helpline. Last year, they helped just under 18,000 callers….so from NACOA, thanks too….xxxxx
Right - time to go write my post for tomorrow before I shoot out to the second Transition Town meeting for my village - dead exciting…
Rubbishly yours and with huge, grateful thanks,
TSxxxxx
Huge hugs and kisses from Suffolk. Congratulations Mrs Smith. Author Extaordinaire. If you do an interview with Radio Suffolk, please let me know…I’d love to hear you on our local station. But what about the nationals too…you’d be perfect on Steve Wright with JLG. And how brilliant to see your book in the shops at last. You must be beside yourself with excitement…I now realise just how hard you’ve been working. Enjoy the next few months xxx
Congratulations, the book looks great I’m looking forward to reading it and telling others, keep up the hard work and give yourself a pat on the back.
Best Wishes
